In a week I will be in Korea. I’m excited, but at the same time it’s going to hurt my heart to leave Columbia. This is the last time we’ll all be together living in the same place. Crashing on the couch has been therapeutic and I know it’s going to be hard to say goodbye…goodbye to the happy house on Santiago, goodbye to Columbia, goodbye to a group of friends who have meant the absolute world to me. I’m closing a chapter of my life and that in itself freaks me out. Where will we all be in a year when I come back? Will it be the beginning of fading friendships that eventually lead us to be mere acquaintances? No, no, no! Let’s colonize in New York, preferably somewhere in Brooklyn, or migrate to the West Coast, San Francisco, like Dave Eggers and his friends in A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius. We can start our own magazine, constantly fighting for the cause...the cause to be free, to be inspired, to be happy. We will educate the world on the way things should be, our opinions a replica of how all the other 20 somethings feel...young passionate hearts bursting with enthusiasm to drink in the world, to live, to be young.
My dear roommates, I will miss you.

You already know my vote: San Francisco. Let's face it: Emily would find love there, Joe and I will hopefully be living there in a year, and it's near some of the most beautiful areas in the country. WEST COAST baby.
um...but NYC would work too, I'm down for either...
